Run Into You
An upcoming fantasy romance drama, Run into You tells the
story of two people trapped in the past as they pursue the truth behind their
respective mysteries. Taking on the role of news anchor Yoon Hae-jun is Kim
Dong-wook (The King of Pigs). As Hae-jun pursues the truth behind a serial
murder case, he travels to 1987 in order to investigate. A young writer, Baek
Yoon-young Jin Ki-Joo, also travels back in time to try to prevent her parents
from marrying. As the two-time travelers meet in the past, they begin to
realize that their missions have a deeper connection. Run Into You airs on KBS2
on May 1, and is available on Viu and Viki as well.
All That We
Loved
The upcoming teen romance drama All That We Loved stars
EXO's Sehun and follows a trio of high school students as they navigate
friendship and romance. Best friends Go Yoo (Sehun) and Go Joon-hee (Jo
Joon-young) are close, with the former having previously donated a kidney to a
sick friend. After the arrival of Han So-yeon (Jang Yeo-bin), a mysterious
transfer student, their friendship is tested. They both fall in love with him
at first sight. As the best friends begin experiencing cellular memory syndrome
from their past transplant, things only get more complicated. On May 5, TVING
premieres All That We Loved.
Tale of the
Nine Tailed 1938
A new season of the hit fantasy series Tale of the Nine
Tailed returns later this month, set in 1938, the year of the original. Lee
Dong-wook reprises his role as a 1000-year-old Gumiho who is dragged back
nearly a century after the events of the first season, while Kim Bum plays Lee
Rang, his estranged half-brother. A Penthouse actress, Kim So-Yeon, plays Ryu
Hong-Joo, the former god of the Western mountains, who runs a top restaurant in
1938 and shares a complicated history with Lee Yeon. While Lee Yeon tries to
find his way back to the present, the pair teams up to face Cheon Moo-young
(Itaewon Class' Ryu Kyung-soo), another mountain spirit. Tale of the Nine
Tailed 1938 premieres May 6 on tvN and is available for streaming on TVING as
well.
R.A.C.E
RACE stars Lee Yeon-hee as Park Yoon-jo, a hardworking PR
professional who compensates for her lack of experience with her work ethic. As
the series begins, Yoon-jo is hired by Ryu Jae-min at the top PR agency.
However, she later finds out that she was only hired as a diversity hire.
Yoon-jo turns to industry veteran Koo Yi-jung as a mentor. TVXQ's Yunho will
also appear as Seo Dong-hoon, the agency representative where Yoon-jo and
Jae-min work. RACE will be released on Disney+ on May 10.
Black Knight
Kim Woo-bin stars in Netflix's Black Knight as 5-8, a
legendary delivery driver in a dystopian future who supplies oxygen to
civilians based on the popular webtoon Delivery Knight. The world of Black
Knight is dominated by desert and dust because of severe air pollution, forcing
most of its inhabitants underground due to severe air pollution. During one of
his jobs, ‘5-8’ meets Sa-wol, a refugee living above ground who hopes to become
a delivery driver one day, as well as military intelligence officer Seol-ah,
who saved Sa-wol's life previously. The series stars Song Seung-Heon as Ryu Seok,
the sole heir to a conglomerate that controls the world through its oxygen
monopoly. Black Knight premieres on Netflix on May 12.
